Wedding Party

Bridesmaids:

Shayna Siegel

Shayna and Kelly have worked together for about 5 years and share a love of opera. Shayna and Kelly frequently eat lunch together and in the lunch room Shayna heard all about Kelly and Brian’s relationship as it developed. Shayna’s job is to keep Kelly sane.

Rebecca Sullivan

Rebecca and Kelly have worked together for about 5 years. Kelly is planning to steal all of what Rebecca knows about planning a wedding since she just had hers in October. This is a picture taken atop the Space Needle when Kelly and Rebecca traveled to Seattle for the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting in January 2007.

Groomsmen:

Chris Palmer

Brian met Chris on the day he moved into the University of Illinois dorms. Chris helped Brian move in and then later came back and borrowed a computer cable. After Brian managed to track him down to get it back they have been friends ever since. They worked together for several years before Chris returned to school and Brian left for the east coast.

Jerry Ammann

We are still not sure if Brian and Jerry met in third grade or not since they both attended the same school for a short amount of time. The more agreed upon meeting is the first day of freshman year at Hayfield. They had many classes together all throughout high school. They later lived together with Karri after Brian returned to the east coast and Jerry graduated college. Brian was a groomsman in the long awaited wedding of Jerry and Karri in October of 2007.

Flower Girls:

Linnea Hansen

Kelly went to Johns Hopkins with Linnea’s daddy (Jon) where they were both on the swim team. Kelly was a bridesmaid for Linnea’s mommy (Erin) in January, 2005. Linnea is learning to be a good big sister to Baby Jonas who arrived at the end of June.

Alyssa Corb

Alyssa, our most experienced flower girl, is a wonderful almost-six-year old big sister to brother John David. Alyssa’s mom (Jenn) and dad (Geof) both went to college with Kelly and her mom even lived with Kelly for three years. Alyssa is following in her mom’s footsteps and is already a quick swimmer.

Ring Bearers:

William Susil

Kelly went to Johns Hopkins with William’s daddy (Robert) where they were both on the swim team. William and Kelly have been known to enjoy a library style story hour in the comfort of William’s own bedroom. William’s interests include Thomas the Tank Engine and swimming with Canada geese.

Aiden Palmer

Aiden’s dad, Chris is going to be a groomsman and is a long time friend of Brian’s. Aiden and Kelly bonded at the beach in the summer of 2007 as Aiden performed an extensive examination of Kelly’s teeth and tongue. Perhaps he will grow up to be a dentist.

Officiant:

Roger Pang

Roger and Brian met on the first day of freshman year in high school. They shared many classes throughout the years. After living with Jerry, Brian moved in with Roger and lived with him through two houses for over four years. Roger is an experienced officiant having presided over Jerry and Karri’s wedding in October of 2007.
