Kelly has been working hard in August and September trying to get the area around the house more presentable. The other goal was to make it more manageable. A bunch of pictures are available in this set. She is still working on it so there will probably be a few more pictures posted later to the set.
Some of the things that have done is ripping out some bushes, whose roots extended about half-way across the yard.
Cleaned up and mulched around the bushes at end of driveway.
Really trimmed back the bushes in front of the porch and added a new bush.
The really big work was in the front of the house. There Kelly weeded and removed small dead plants. Then added some new bushes and finally mulched.
The previous owner had a lot of large rocks in a circled off area in back yard. Kelly wanted to move them to the rock area we already created along side of house. I moved about half of the ones I could lift to one section and will move more later. Several are gigantic hunks of granite that I am not sure how we are going to move.
