Those that had visited my house in the past may have seen the "newspaper room". This was the third bedroom in my house that was used as storage of stuff I haven't put anywhere else yet. The major thing in there however was old newspapers. You would say "Brian, why do you have old newspapers?" and I would say, um dunno. Honestly at one point I thought I would read them, not sure why. At first it wasn't too many but it kept growing and growing. When I signed up for the paper I got the Washington Post only on Sunday. I want to also get the Baltimore Sun only on Sunday, only they didn't offer it. Instead I signed up for the weekend which included Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Somewhere along the way they added Wednesday to this subscription. On occasion they would also give me Monday, Tuesday or Thursday in a random fashion. This resulted in my pile growing faster and faster. I eventually cancelled my Sun subscription but the monster had been created. It just got to a point that I didn't want to deal with it and just kept piling more on top.
In preparation for Jerry and Karri's visit Kelly and I cleaned the room. It was so they could stay in it if they wanted. We did it the night that I was beginning to get sick. I took some pictures of the process here. In the first you can see Kelly opening and piling the papers. In the second picture you can see the completed bags, there were 18 total. The last two is my car full of the bags. We took them to my school that has a paper recycling dumpster. The school gets paid back by weight so they like people using the dumpster.
Now the room is clean and can be used. Also I now only get two papers a week and will be able to keep up or throw them away.
