The other day I posted what I guess could be called a rant about compression testing of several sites. I specifically mentioned Jeff Harrell's site since it was the most recent one I read. It wasn't my intent to single him out and poke holes in his analysis, which I still can't see unfortunately. It was more a general commentary on how most reviewers do video compression testing.
Jeff saw my comments and that of others I would assume and did exactly what I mentioned. He got some HD footage that was essentially uncompressed, especially for normal human beings and their monitors/TV's. He ran them through some tests and posted the results. I highly recommend reading the entire string of articles in the series. I really look forward to when QT7 is released for the PC and I can watch them. Oh and Jeff I can't watch 1080p/24 either if it makes you feel any better.
