Trains, cars and feet?

On Thursday before leaving to journey to Pittsburgh and my parent's house I had another fun adventure. It started with me walking to the Metro from my house. Next Metro to Union Station (more on that later). Then MARC from Union Station to Penn Station. Cab from Penn Station to friend's house. Then drive from friend's house back to mine. Interesting journey, even if it was a crappy day. Lots of people watching.

This time I had about 30-40 minutes to waste at Union Station. I must say it is a really nice place. It has lots of places to eat. It has a small mall in it. Also it is just a beautiful building on the inside. I just hadn't seen it like that in a long time (if ever).

After that journey I began my trek to Pittsburgh. I had originally planned to leave about 9-10 AM, however due to circumstances I had to postpone my departure to about 1:30 PM. This allowed me to be in real traffic. The traffic was further compounded by the fact that there was a winter monsoon moving through. Luckily it was almost 60 degrees, otherwise there would have been a foot of snow. I took me about 3 hours to get to frederick, should have taken about 75 minutes. Other than a little snow in mountains mostly a normal trip the rest of the way.
