WSH/VBS ADSI Scripting Rocks!

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

Today in preparation for next school year I created some of the accounts for new students. This is one of the few times a year I look at the massive VB Script I have to create users, set attributes, create exchange mailboxes, join groups and create folders. During the past year I did some work on scripting folder permissions changes using cacls. Today I integrated that code into my master user creation script. Now the script creates the folder and sets permissions properly for me. This script saves me a few min per user and enables me to create over 100 users in a minute or so. I shudder to think of doing this back in the NT 4.0/Exchange 5.5 days.
