Tron 2.0 and other PC games

I spent some of yesterday playing Tron 2.0. It is a really good game, similar to Dues Ex. It is also reinforces a recent idea I have on PC games. Wait 6 months or so after a good game comes out to get it. This way if it is good and worth it they will have patched it to make it better and less buggy. Also you can get it much cheaper. There are a few games I will buy in the first week like Half-Life 2 and Doom 3, but many of the smaller games just improve after patching. I first did this with Unreal, Deus Ex and Half-Life, all three of which became tremendously better with patching. The core game didn't change much, just the bugs were squashed so that the playing experience wasn't hurt. I was hoping this would happen with Deus Ex : Invisible War. However it looks like the patches only got it so far, then the urge to continue to fix it left Eidos who is the distributor and financer of the game. Also Ion Storm the producer of game is having issues and that never helps. Hopefully it will be good when I get around to playing it.
