I wanted to put some pictures of the new Arcade machine that I got recently. It is made by a company called Hanaho and this specific model is the ArcadePC Deluxe. This is basically an empty cabinet, as you will see in pictures, that you place a computer in. The computer then runs Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator or MAME. This allows you to play thousands of arcade games, exactly as they were intended.
First is a picture of the computer that goes inside. I put a little
better than what is necessary in there just to make sure I wouldn't have to
worry about it.
It is a P4 2400 (533 Bus) with 512 MB of DD266 and a geForce4 4200.
I forgot to take a picture when it was on palette coming off of truck.
Lets just say that Roger and I had quite a challenge getting this into the
house. No wheels and 300+ lbs of machine is not easy to move around.
This is a side shot with the back panel off.
This shows how clean and empty the inside of the machine is. Compared to a
standard arcade machine it is very open. You can also see the functional
coin slots and box.
This is a shot higher up inside the cabinet, basically the back of the monitor.
It was shipped with the monitor in it, and it is amazingly secure. We
debated removing it to lighten machine and decided it would be too much trouble.
This is a shot of the front with the keyboard drawer pulled out. Here you
can see the controls as well. It has two joysticks and seven buttons for
each player as well as a trackball and a right and left mouse button.
There is also an additional joystick (red one) that I really haven't figured out
yet?
Finally a shot of the machine running on of my favorite games, the original
Street Fighter 2. It has been played quite a but already.
