You haven't seen First Contact until you watch it on DVD, VHS and Cable cannot do this film justice.  It is 2.35 widescreen only with anamorphic treatment.  It is beautiful with perfect blacks and well saturated colors.  I fault it on its lack of extras, namely nothing other then a trailer and teaser.  Also it doesn't allow you to change audio modes using the remote audio button you must go into the menus.  This wouldn't be as much of a problem except that it defaults to Dolby surround instead of 5.1 Digital.
